Clooney Builds Casino
Actor, George Clooney, plans to build a classy hotel and casino in Las Vegas.
George Clooney, star of "Ocean's Eleven" and its sequel, plans to build a real casino, not rob one. Unlike his character in the movies, he is planning to build a casino, hotel, and condominium in Las Vegas.
Clooney is partnering up with nightclub owner Rande Gerber and two Las Vegas real-estate companies who plan to build on Harmon Avenue. Clooney admits that he is not an expert on developing hotels, especially the classy "jacket and dress" hotel Clooney describes.
The future hotel will have 300 rooms and be located just west of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, which could be part of an emerging "striplet."
Clooney describes the hotel endeavor as a "big adventure," and is excited to make plans for the five-star Vegas hotel and casino.
