The Closer sets record
Way to go, Kyra Sedgwick.
Things are looking good for TNT.
Their crime drama "The Closer," about an LAPD deputy chief who always gets her confession, opened its second season last week with 8.3 million viewers. They opened last season to 7 million people.
By the way, 8.3 million people is a basic cable record.
The show was followed by a new drama, "Saved," which premiered to a solid 5.1 million people.
