Co-host Samantha Harris is 'Dancing' Away

Samantha Harris is hanging up her dance shoes. Harris announced exclusively to People magazine that she will not return to co-host ABC’s Dancing with the Stars.

Harris is leaving to focus on her correspondence gig with The Insider.

“[DWTS] could not have been more of a dream job. I loved every single second of it and I’ve made lifelong friends at the show,” Harris tells People.

Harris co-hosted the show with Tom Bergeron the past eight seasons, but has decided to waltz away before the March 22 season debut.

Dancing’s executive producer Conrad Green tells People he wishes Harris “the best of luck on The Insider” and is in the process of finding Harris’ replacement.

Bergeron says, per People, he understands why Harris is ending her run.

“I’m going to miss Samantha. We had a nice rapport off-camera and on. I could see that her workload was picking up on The Insider. As somebody who’s been known to juggle a few jobs myself, I know that that can pull you in eight different directions.”
