Coldplay Postpones North American Tour

The band's fourth album will be released June 17.

Coldplay has postponed their upcoming North American tour because of unexpected production delays. The tour will begin two weeks later than previously scheduled, which means that instead of beginning on June 29 in Philadelphia, the tour supporting the band's new album, Viva La Vida and Death to All His Friends, will begin July 14 in Los Angeles.

The final date, according to Billboard, will still be Aug. 4, but instead of ending in Chicago, Coldplay will end the North American leg of their tour in Boston. If people have already purchased tickets, they can either request a refund for their tickets or hold on to them to trade them in to one of the rescheduled shows.

The band's new schedule is now posted on the band's Web site (coldplay.com). The manager of Coldplay also announced Tuesday that the delays in production will not affect the free dates that are scheduled in London, New York and Barcelona this month.
