Colorado Music Festival Releases Part of Lineup

Morrison, Colorado's third annual Monolith Festival unveiled part of their lineup through Twitter. They plan to release more acts each day through the site.

The Monolith Festival showcases some of the best contemporary electro-indie music.

Passion Pit, the Walkmen, Girl Talk, and the Frightened Rabbit were some of the first announced. Method Man and Redman, the Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Thunderheist, Health, These United States, Speakeasy Tiger, Starfucker, and Thao with the Get Down Stay Down have also been revealed for this year's event.

The two-day festival starts on Sept. 12 at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

The full lineup will be revealed in the middle of June.

The festival has five stages, including the Red Rocks main stage. Past performers have been Cake, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, the Decemberists, the Flaming Lips, Kid Sister, Ghostland Observatory, Silversun Pickups, Vampire Weekend, Spoon, CSS, and Justice.

Tickets are not on sale yet, but will be available soon.
