Comedic heavy weights Fey and Ferrell meet again on SNL.

Tina Fey once again was Palin and Ferrell was back as President Bush Thursday night.

The political impressions done on Saturday Night live are such a hit lately that former cast member Will Ferrell even cam back as President Bush to meet Tina Fey's Palin reports the Associated Press.

What does this mean? Besides adding to the names of guest to the show this season, the show will hopefully see another much deserved ratings increase as, reportedly, this combined the two most popular political imitations the show has ever seen.

The comedians stepped right into character flawlessly.

Ferrell's Bush address the nation saying that presidential candidates John McCain and Barak Obama where "heavily patriotized and "displayed much characterization" before naturally giving his endorsement to McCain.

As for commentary on current politics, Ferrell said he had declared the Oval Office a "bummer free Zone" months ago keeping such news as low approval ratings and other harsh realities out.

Ferrel even offered some clarification to Fey's Palin about the office she was running for telling her, "president can do nothing without checking with the vice president."

Trying to be as respectfull as she could, Fey simply told the president that he had things a bit backwards.

The show would not have been complete, of course, with out Darrell Hammond as an unwilling McCain showing up to receive the presidents endorsement. He apparently would have preferred to have said thanks but no thanks.

This guest appearance was perhaps an advertisement for Ferrell as he starts the New Year off with a new Broadway show using his famed portrayal of the president.

His solo show called "You're Welcome America: a Final Night with George W. Bush." Reportedly begins in January.
