Comic Andy Dick appears in court on sex abuse charges, pleads not guilty

Comic Andy Dick appeared in a West Virginia courthouse yesterday to answer for felony charges of sexual abuse, stemming from a 2010 nightclub appearance.

According to Reuters, Dick is accused of groping two men at a Huntington, West Virginia nightclub. He plead not guilty to both counts.

The AP reported that the judge made a point of ordering a urine test, saying that if Dick returned to court under the influence, he would be immediately jailed.

His response was “I understand. I’ve been sober,” according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The trial is set to start on January 17, 2012.

Dick’s last run in with the law came in 2008, when he plead guilty to charges of possession of marijuana and battery.
