Following its world premiere at the South by SouthWest film festival in Austin, Texas AT&T, Abramorama, and Magnolia Home Entertainment entered into a distribution agreement for Rodman Flender’s Conan O'Brien Can’t Stop.
AT&T will offer multi-platform distribution and will also serve as a marketing partner. It will offer the documentary to AT&T U-Verse TV users on the eve of the theatrical release through Abramorama. Magnolia will handle other video on demand as well as home entertainment rights, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The documentary follows O’Brien during his post Tonight Show tour, The Legally Prohibited from Being Funny on Television Tour, and shows much of the backstage planning and rehearsing of the tour. It captures the comedian's almost compulsory love of performing.
At the premiere at SXSW, O’Brien said he found the film hard to watch, because it was a difficult time. He said the movie shows who he is and how he works through things for better or worse, according to the Los Angeles Times.
