Conan O'Brien Gets Ready For Action
Conan O'Brien will be the fifth man to host "The Tonight Show." Steve Allen was the first, Jack Paar, Johnny Carson, and Jay Leno came after.
According to the New York Times, late night has become more important to NBC over time. "The Tonight Show" has been the biggest money-making show in terms of network profits. CNN.com reports that O'Brien will be aided by his former sidekick Andy Richter, who will be the announcer and provide comedy support.
According to the Macombdaily.com, O'Brien will be using the Max Weinberg 7, the same band he has had for 16 years. O'Brien says that he will stay true to himself using his style of comedy; what has worked for him in the past.
Starting Monday, O'Brien will take over "The Tonight Show." He said that he does not want to over think his new role as host. That is "the biggest danger" he says.
