Conan O'Brien Takes Show on Road

Conan makes lemonade out of his sour lemons.

Having been ostracized from late night NBC, Conan O'Brien will have to bring himself to his audiences without the aid of television.

The former Tonight Show host announced Thursday that he will be doing a 30-city theater tour with sidekick Andy Richter. Along with the former Tonight Show band, O'Brien promises that his shows will consist of "a night of music, comedy, hugging and the occasional awkward silence."

Entitled "The Legally Prohibited from Being Funny on Television Tour" begins April 12 in Eugene, Ore., and concludes June 14 in Atlanta. The tour will cover at least 20 states and two Canadian provinces. Stops include New York's Radio City Hall and the Gibson Amphitheater in Universal City, Calif. Additional dates may be added.

O'Brien added: "It was either a massive 30-city tour or start helping out around the house." O'Brien has not stated any future television plans, so this tour is the best his fans will be getting for awhile.
