Conan's Priest Stalker Leaves Hospital, Gets Renounced by Church

A Boston priest had been stalking O'Brien.

The priest who was charged with stalking late night talk show host Conan O'Brien has been officially renounced by the Boston Archdiocese after violating orders from the church that he had to remain in the hospital to receive treatment.

He has been in the hospital, receiving care, for the past several months because of the strong desire of the church, medical professionals and O'Brien himself for him to get better. There has also been the legal cloud floating over his head as well.

The Rev., whose name is David Ajemian, was placed on leave from the church after charges were brought in November of 2007. The former priest was "no longer able to exercise public ministry" by the Boston Archdiocese at that point, and after being renounced, the place of worship has also stopped providing Ajemian with financial support.

The renunciation was made because he disobeyed those in the church, which Ajemian agreed to not do back when he joined the ministry in 2001.
