Connie Chung big hit on the web

A clip of the newswoman singing badly is the latest YouTube hit.

Connie Chung is getting major buzz, only for the wrong reasons. And it's a bit too late.

On the last day of her talk show with husband Maury Povich, aptly titled "Weekends with Maury & Connie," the newswoman donned a strapless evening gown and sang a parody of "Thanks for the Memories."

Her singing was, well, less than great, but that hasn't prevented it from becoming the latest internet favorite. It has been downloaded thousands of times already on YouTube and iFilm.

Chung is "delighted" according to her rep, despite the many negative comments. IFilm declared the clip "creepy," and that was one of the nicer reactions.

And the show was cancelled because of a mere 230,000 or so viewers. If only they had known the secret to success was a lack of shame and the internet.
