Whether or not his American Idol contestants found him to be two-faced, Broadway will soon be acquainted with Constantine Maroulis' double identities.
The Hollywood Reporter reported Maroulis is heading to New York’s street of song and dance to play the lead role in the revival of musical Jekyll & Hyde.
The musical is set to premiere in NYC in the spring of 2013 after a 25-week run in San Diego, which begins October 2.
According to the Associated Press, this isn’t the 36-year-old’s first run on Broadway.
Not only was he nominated for Tony and Drama League awards for his three-year stint on Rock of Ages, he’s also played Roget Davis on Rent.
Maroulis’s first job on Broadway was in The Wedding Singer. He has stuck with musical theater for some time, as he now plays the lead character in the Alley Theatre’s production of Toxic Avengers in Houston.
He also has an album out, Constantine, which he released with his own label, Sixth Place Records.
Do you think he’ll make a good Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde?
