Furniture and other contents of the Bel Air mansion that Michael Jackson called home at the time of his 2009 death were sold at auction for over $1 million in total Saturday. The auction included paintings, furniture and a mirror with a hand-written message left by the King of Pop.

Julien’s Auctions held the sale, estimating that the 524 items in the sale would only make at least $200,000 to $400,000, according to The Associated Press.

The Daily Mail reports that the highlights included a chalkboard with “I Love You Daddy” written on it by Jackson’s children, which went for $5,000, while an armoire with a mirror that had Jackson’s message written on it went for $25,750. The message Jackson wrote on the mirror reads "Train, perfection March April Full out May."

The bed that Jackson died in was not part of the sale per the Jackson family’s request, but the rug that was under the bed sold for $15,360. Julien’s actually estimated that the rug would only go for as much as $600. However, like other items that wound up in the crime scene photos that were shown during Conrad Murray’s trial, the price skyrocketed, notes E! News.

The most expensive pieces were paintings that Jackson collected. CNN reports that paintings went for $46,875 and $35,200 each.

Jackson lived in the mansion while he was working on the This Is It show rehearsals.
