The producers of American Idol have laid down the law in regards to contestant David Archuleta.
The Associated Press reports that Archuleta's father, Jeff Archuleta, who has been monitoring all aspects of his son's show business career, from this point on is no longer allowed to participate in the behind the scenes activities of the competition. The request was made due to Archuleta's interfering creative changes in regards to his son's remaining performances for the show's finale.
Down to the last remaining two weeks of the competition, Archuleta will be competing with finalists David Cook, and Syesha Mercado for the Idol top spot. The next American Idol winner will be announced on May 21, 2008.
