Corp to Start for Trojans
Quarterback Matt Corp will start for USC against Washington.
According to ESPN, quarterback Aaron Corp of USC will get his first start in his career against Washington. Corp was expected to be the starting quarterback entering the season, but was derailed by injuries. Freshman Matt Barkley started the first two games for the Trojans, but is out today with a shoulder injury.
The Los Angeles Times reports that Corp, a third-year sophomore, was told by coaches late in the week that he would be starting against Washington on Saturday. The Seattle Post Intelligencer states that if Washington is to have a chance of beating Southern Cal, they must outplay USC offensively, a feat far easier said than done.
