Could It Be? A Domesticated Nicole Richie?

She admits motherhood has her working in the kitchen!

Nicole Richie mashing apples and making homemade baby food?

It's true, reports People.com, as Richie told the magazine, "Food tastes better coming from your Mom because it's made with love."

This is totally a different Richie than the one in 2005 who reportedly told People, "I'm not domestic at all. I can't cook, I don't clean."

Nowadays, the former Simple Life star can be found in the kitchen pureeing steamed vegetables for homemade baby food or mashing up a healthy snack of apples, green beans, or bananas for her nine-month-old daughter, Harlow Winter Kate Madden.

"Her first food was sweet potatoes and she loved it," Richie told the magazine. "She ate the whole thing and it was all over the place - in her hair, on her nose, everywhere!"

According to her boyfriend, Joel Madden, Richie is not in her newfound domestic efforts alone.

"We talk about it all the time," he said. "It's an energy thing. I know exactly what's going into [Harlow's] body."

The Good Charlotte front man also said that he helps out by feeding his daughter "all the time." That is, of course, when she lets him.

The rocker said that baby Harlow is already stating her independence, "She likes to do it on her own."
