Country Singer LeAnn Rimes Involved in Auto Accident
Grammy-winning country singer LeAnn Rimes was involved in a minor car accident on Thursday night around 7:45 p.m. in Los Angeles.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the 26-year-old was accused of a hit-and-run and questioned by police.
"She was questioned and released. It's an ongoing investigation," says an LAPD representative, People reports.
However, Rimes' spokesperson said, "There was a routine police investigation into this incident, and a police report was filed. We are confident that this matter will be resolved shortly and LeAnn will be cleared."
Rimes soared to fame with her album "Blue" at the age of 13 and won two Grammys, becoming the youngest winner ever. She has sold over 20 million records.
Recently, her relationship with married Northern Lights co-star Eddie Cibrian went public. Rimes is now separated after seven years of marriage from her husband Dean Sheremet. Cibrian and his wife Brandi Glanville have also separated after an eight-year marriage and two sons together.
