Country Star Carrie Underwood Gets Engaged!

After a year-long relationship, Underwood’s boyfriend, Mike Fisher, popped the question to the 26 year-old at his home on Sunday afternoon. It wasn’t until today that Fisher confirmed the engagement at a press conference, but declined to give any further details, according to the Toronto Sun.

The 29 year-old Ottawa Senators player and the Grammy winner kept their relationship under the radar for over a year now, after meeting each other in March of last year at an Ottawa concert. But lately the couple has opened up about their relationship. In the liner notes of Underwood’s latest album, Play On, she wrote, "I love you so much!...You make my life better in every way! I thank God for you every day."

A representative of Underwood told People Magazine that “No wedding date has been set at this time.”
