Court Rules in Kate Gosselin's Favor
A Pennsylvania court ruled in favor of Kate Gosselin on Tuesday morning, requiring estranged husband John Gosselin to put back the $180,000 that he had previously withdrawn from the couple's joint bank account.
The sum that John must repay before Oct.26 is part of the $232,000 that Kate claimed John took from the account, violating a previous arbitration ruling. "The remaining sum of $55,000, which Ms. Gosselin used for household bills and expenses relating to the children, will be subject to further determination by the arbitrator at a later date," said Kate's lawyer Mark Momjian on Tuesday.
If John doesn't pay up by the October deadline, he will face contempt of court charges. On the flip side, the same deadline also applies to Kate. She must provide a detailed account of the family's finances to counter John's allegation that she has hidden proceeds from book sales and the "John & Kate Plus 8" show.
