Courtney Love Being Sued for Libel
Courtney Love is being sued for breach of contract and allegedly libelous statements she made online.
According to the Associated Press, rocker Courtney Love is being sued by a fashion designer for libel and breach of contract. The lawsuit was filed Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court.
Dawn Simorangkir, a Texas-located designer, also known as Boudoir Queen, is claiming that Love never paid for services rendered. Part of Simorangkir's suit alleges that Love wrote "menacing and disturbing" Internet posts.
Called to light were remarks from Love's Twitter and MySpace sites. The feedback section of Etsy.com was also mentioned. This particular site said that Simorangkir was a "nasty lying hosebag thief" and also alleged she was a drug-addicted prostitute.
Several phone messages left for Love's publicist were not returned.
