Courtney Love Finally Makes Progress
Troubled rocker Courtney Love told a judge on Friday that she has put drugs behind her and is now focused on a new outlook on life. The 41-year-old appeared in court on Friday as part of a progress report, after continuously violating her probation in three criminal cases. Judge Rand Rubin sentenced Love to 180 days at a drug treatment facility but was released to an outpatient program in November. Though he ended that requirement, Rubin ordered Love back to court on May 12. "You're doing really, really well," Rubin said. "We're all pleased with your progress." Love has also noticed her progress and stated, "I feel like I'm getting my creativity back ... and that I've put a very gnarly drug problem behind me...I want the court and the community to know I feel great." Love must continue to submit to random checks twice a week for drugs and alcohol. She also must avoid any business that has alcohol as its primary sales while continuing therapy and counseling until her probation ends in March of 2007.
