Courtney Love Sued

Courtney Love is facing a lawsuit from the Beau Monde rehab clinic. The California rehabilitation facility is serving Love with a lawsuit for unpaid dues owed to the centre.

Love, best known as the lead singer for the now-defunct band, Hole, and as the widow of rocker Kurt Cobain, is alleged to owe the clinic $181,000. The singer checked into the Beau Monde clinic for a total of 11 weeks in mid-2005, after being ordered to undergo drug treatment. The 180-day sentence was doled out for three probation violations in three separate cases, but were later dismissed by the same judge who terminated her probation period. The Beau Monde centre claims that Love paid $10,000 up front for treatment, but though she has received repeated requests for the rest of her dues, she has failed to pay.

Love's lawyer has issued a statement promising that the lawsuit will be resolved to everyone's satisfaction, and soon.
