Courtney Love Sued over Unpaid Balances

American Express is suing Courtney Love for unpaid charges of $350,000.

After facing a number of past legal troubles, musician Courtney Love, 44, is now being sued by American Express. According to Reuters, the card company claims that Love has unpaid charges of over $350,000 on her AmEx Gold card.

BBC News reported that Love's lawyers were not available to make comments on the subject.

In March, fashion designer Dawn Simorangkir sued the 44-year-old musician for libel after making defamatory comments about her on MySpace and Twitter. Charges were made against Love for libel, invasion of privacy, interfering with Simorangkir's business, inflicting emotional distress and breach of contract, according to Reuters.

Love, the widow of Nirvana's Kurt Kobain, was also sued for $1 million by an advisory firm that wanted its share of proceeds from Love's sale of Nirvana's publishing catalog, reported Reuters. The deal was worth close to $19.5 million.

In addition to damages and lawyer's fees, American Express asks for $352,059.67 in unpaid charges.
