Courtney's At It Again

Courtney Love being sued while coming out of court for other matters.

What is Courtney Love more famous for, her musical career as front woman for the now-broken-up band Hole and her solo debut, her marriage to the late Kurt Cobain of the band Nirvana, or her off stage antics?

Right now Love, 40, is swamped with several different legal woes. For starters she was in court on Thursday in Beverly Hills for felony charges against her for charges of drug possession from her October 2003 arrest. This case was postponed to November 3 for scheduling reasons. As she was leaving the courthouse she was served with more legal trouble, but this time from a travel agency.

New Act Travel is suing Love for $50,000 in booked tickets and hotel reservations for her, family members and staff. After booking all of these expenses on her credit card she later withdrew her card authorization.

So now she's up to drug possession and damages to a travel agency. But what other legal woes does Ms. Love have to face? Well, there are two assault charges, and two more new financial issues that need to be cleared up.

One assault case stems from the February incident in a New York nightclub when someone at the club watching her performance was hit with a microphone stand. The second assault charge is from Los Angeles when she attacked a woman with a glass bottle and a flashlight.

Her two other financial problems consist of owing around $35,000 in unemployment insurance taxes for her personal employees. Also, there is a $5,000 lien on her in regards to her Manhattan residence for unpaid dues.

Love's many courtroom and financial traumas will not be resolved for some time, especially if she doesn't show up to court, such as when she was supposed to be in Los Angeles for the case about her second assault charge but instead was in New York and was checked into Bellevue Hospital.

Maybe Courtney should stay in one place to avoid traveling and to stay out of trouble. Another suggestion might be to take away her credit cards and flashlights. You never know, maybe without flying cross-country and these two objects, she can stay out of trouble. But then again, what would be the fun in that?
