The creator of 'Gilmore Girls' will leave at end of season
Amy Sherman-Palladino will leave the show after its sixth season, her and her husband were the main writing force behind the show.
The creator of the comedy-drama TV show "Gilmore Girls" and her producer husband will leave the show at the end of the season after not coming to an agreement on terms for a renewal of their contract. The husband-wife team was the main writing force of the mother-daughter series that stars Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel. The show, which is in its sixth season will move to the new CW- a combination of the current WB and UPN networks next season. The executive director of the show, David Rosenthal, will run the series next year. Rosenthal joined the show at the beginning of this season and co-created "Ellen." According to reports Warner Bros. offered the pair $5 million for their work and a production deal but they wanted a two year-pact.
