Scott Stapp was arrested on Sunday for assault at his Florida home.

Former lead singer of Creed, Scott Stapp, was arrested in his Florida home on assault charges on Sunday. No one was injured or taken to the hospital. No further details were released such as the nature of the assault, the victim, or nature of the violence.

According to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, Stapp was arrested at his $4.9 million home in Long Lake Estates, which is west of Boca Raton. He was then taken to Palm Beach County jail without bail. The assault is suspected to be domestic.

However, Stapp's wife, former Miss New York Jaclyn Nesheiwat, did not offer any comment besides acknowledging that it was a "rough time."

The couple married in 2006 and they had a daughter earlier this year. The singer was arrested several times before. On the way to his honeymoon, he was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public at a Los Angeles airport. He was also arrested for reckless driving in 2002 and fighting with fellow band 311 in 2005. Stapp has been traveling with a sobriety coach since the honeymoon incident.
