'Criminal Empire for Dummys' Gets Great Cast

Gary Oldman, Malin Akerman and Milo Ventimiglia join the caper.

Gary Oldman, Malin Akerman and Milo Ventimiglia will star in the new indie gangster movie Criminal Empire for Dummys.

Michael Clarke Duncan and Harvey Keitel are also slated to star in the film. Entourage's Cliff Dorfman wrote the script and will also be directing the film.

According to Variety, the story is taken from the point of view of Ventimiglia, who tells viewers the secrets to success in forming a criminal empire. Through flashbacks to his early life in a broken home and on the streets the film shows how he rose up from adversity to be a successful multinational drug and criminal kingpin.

Cold Fusion Media, Sleeping Giant Entertainment, Gremi Productions and Hollywood Studios International are producing the film. Oldman's manager, Doug Urbanski, is executive producing the flick.

Akerman is no stranger to Dorfman, as she has been in two episodes of his hit show Entourage. She has also starred in Watchmen as The Silk Spectre II and Couples Retreat. Ventimiglia had a regular spot on the hit show Heroes and also starred as Rocky's son in Rocky Balboa.

Gary Oldman is most recently known for his roles in the Harry Potter and Batman series, but he is no stranger to the independent films circuit. He offered is own script and direction for the British indie fave Nil by Mouth, and costarred in the independent Hamlet spin-off, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead.
