Crow and Armstrong Split

In a surprise turn, cycling legend Lance Armstrong and rocker Sheryl Crow have split just five months after announcing their engagement. The couple announced this news in a joint statement on Friday. The statement said, "After much thought and consideration we have made a very tough decision to split up." Though this would have been Crow's first marriage, the seven-time Tour de France champion has three children from his previous marriage. Armstrong, 34, and the 43-year-old Crow met in October of 2003 and began dating shortly thereafter. The couple also released the statement, ""We both have a deep love and respect for each other and we ask that everyone respect our privacy during this very difficult time."
