Crowe Challenges Journalist to a Bike-Off

Russell Crowe is not afraid of the press and has the wheels to prove it.

Actor Russell Crowe was the victim of a particularly unflattering article about a bike ride during which he smoked a cigarette and ate several tacos. The article was called "Smokes and fatty foods the fitness regime for Rusty."

So what did the notoriously defensive Crowe do? He did just what any sensible person would do. He challenged the reporter to a 12-mile bike race.

A representative of Crowe's called up Annette Sharp, the gossip journalist who wrote the column, and said, "Get on your bike. Russell wants you to go riding with him. Are you ready to die?"

The two raced, and according to Yahoo News, Sharp struggled to keep up with the actor, who breezed through the race. Sharp even fell off her bike at one point.

Crowe has proved his unshakable manliness yet again.
