Crowley Appointed New Anchor of CNN Talk Show
Candy Crowley is to replace John King on "State of the Union"
Senior political correspondent for CNN Candy Crowley has been appointed to anchor Sunday program State of the Union on January 31.
According to nytimes.com, Crowley will replace current newscaster John King on Feb. 7.
King, who is leaving the show, will succeed Lou Dobbs, the former anchor of Lou Dobbs Tonight. The editorial commentary, also under CNN, appears daily at 7pm.
State of the Union, which was started by King a year ago, will be cut down from its original run time of four hours to one hour.
According to The Wrap, the talk show airs every Sunday at 9am ET, and it will be re-broadcast at 12pm.
