Cruise to Star in 'Mission Impossible' Sequel
Tom Cruise staring in a Mission Impossible sequel was thought to be the impossible mission. After Mission Impossible 3 did respectable but underwhelming business at the box office in 2006, many movie-goers questioned whether or not there would be a sequel.
Well, there is no doubt now. Cruise is set to start working on the film this summer for a 2011 Memorial Day release according to E! News Online.
J.J Abrams will direct Mission Impossible 4. He will also be working with script writers Josh Applebaum and Andre Nemec. The duo worked with Abrams once before on his ABC drama Alias according to Entertainment Weekly (EW.com).
Cruise will be playing the role of secret agent Ethan Hawk.
“Tom and J.J. are great talents and we are excited to be working with them to re-launch this legendary franchise,” said Paramount Pictures Chairman & CEO Brad Grey to Deadline Hollywood (www.deadline.com).
The script details are being kept secret, so viewers must be patient.
