Crystal Harris opens up about split with Hugh Hefner in tell-all interviews

Crystal Harris has candidly opened up about her split with Hugh Hefner, admitting that she accepted his marriage proposal not only because she loved the Playboy founder, but also the lifestyle she was introduced to as a result of their relationship.

“He brings out a ring and hands it to me and says, ‘I hope it f----- fits,’” she said of his proposal during an appearance on Howard Stern’s radio show. “I think that’s what I wanted right then.”

Harris, who was labeled a “runaway bride” on the July 2011 cover of Playboy, admitted that she was not turned on by Hefner and never saw him naked. The blonde playmate added that they only had sex once, describing the intercourse as awkward and confessing that she walked away after two seconds because she was so grossed out.

When asked about leaving her ex-fiancé five days before their scheduled wedding, Harris told Access Hollywood Live’s Billy Bush and guest co-host Kate Walsh that she “got cold feet.”

“Over time I just realized it wasn’t for me, it was all happening so fast,” she said. “I actually spoke to Hef about it before I left and we both came to the decision that [getting married] wasn’t the best for either of us.”

Though Harris told Stern that she was unsure as to whether Hefner would be displeased over her disclosure of intimate details from their relationship, she announced that they are currently on amicable terms.

“I love Hef. I care about Hef and always will,” she added. “We had good times together ... I’ve been over there about three or four times since the breakup and we want to just stay friends.”
