Cryus's New Image Sign of Change

New lurid photos of pop star Miley Cyrus surfaced Sunday, the same day the teen hosted the Teen Choice Awards.

The photos themselves are of Cyrus in suggestive poses in a small bikini and pulling her shirt up showing her bare midriff and underwear.

Cyrus, who is also the star of Disney's Hannah Montana, is no stranger to controversies when it comes to "racy" photos. Fans were shocked to see her in April's Vanity Fair issue where the star was wrapped simply in a sheet with her bare back showing.

Cyrus's rep told Fox News that the photos themselves are old, though this side of her may be more predominant these days.

Recently, the star announced she would be ending her role as Hannah Montana in the near future.

"We're thinking this is our last season," Cyrus said in an interview with E! News."I just think we did a lot of episodes. We basically did two seasons in one season last year. Usually people would do one season that would be 16 episodes, and we did almost 30 episodes."

The time off should give Miley time to work on her recording career which gained merit with the debut of her first non-Disney related album, Breakout, at no. 1.

Her free time may offer more acting roles such as the movie, The Undiscovered Girl, based on the novel by Alison Burnett.

A source told the Sun that Miley was very interested in doing the film.

"It is still early days, but Miley is really interested in the film, which follows the story of a lovable, lost suburban girl who descends into a life of reckless partying and promiscuity," the source said. "If she does get the part, you will be seeing a lot more of her than you did in the Vanity Fair photos - there would definitely be nude scenes."

The Teen Choice Awards aired Monday on Fox.
