CSI: Miami Star's Alleged Stalker Is Arrested in Mexico

According to E! Online, Mexican authorities have arrested an Austrian woman in her early 40s named Heidimarie Schnitzer, on charges of stalking and threatening to murder the 53-year-old star.

The fugitive was tracked down last night around 11:30 p.m. with the help of a blog called the Stalker Chronicles, which was launched in order to find Schnitzer.

Austrian prosecutors say Schnitzer had threatened to kill Caruso after he failed to respond to hundreds of letters and autograph requests.

An arrest warrant was issued after she failed to show up for a 2007 court hearing.

Schnitzer is expected to be handed over to immigration authorities and deported back to her home country for trial.

Caruso plays Miami police Lt. Horatio Caine on the CBS hit series, CSI: Miami. Caruso has been on the show since its debut in 2002.
