The Detroit Free Press reports Detroit Lions quarterback Dante Culpepper is likely to start Sunday against the Pittsburg Steelers in place of injured rookie quarterback Matthew Stafford. Stafford missed practice today due to a right knee injury sustained in a loss against the Chicago Bears last Sunday.
According to SI.com, this is the second straight practice Stafford has missed. When asked about the injury and his playing status, Stafford said "I don't know, we'll see." MLive.com states Stafford also said his injured right knee does not require surgery.
