Cutler's Stock Rising
ESPN's Ben Finfer has some interesting takes on how the Chicago Bears are playing. He says both Bears quarterback Jay Cutler and wide receiver Johnny Knox are playing at a high level. Cutler is no longer making costly turnovers and the rookie Knox is playing consistently well, says Finfer.
According to the Detroit Free Press, during yesterday's game between the Bears and the Detroit Lions, Lions rookie quarterback Matthew Stafford left the game with a knee injury and is listed as day-to-day. Stafford suffered a dislocated kneecap in the third quarter of the Lions 48-24 loss to the Bears at Chicago on Sunday.
Other notable injured players from Sunday's game include Bears wide receiver Devin Hester, states.CBSSports.com Hester, who suffered a minor shoulder injury. Bears coach Lovie Smith says Hester is just fine heading into the bye week.
