The CW Network gives full seasons to veteran drama One Tree Hill and its freshman hits Hellcats and Nikita.
Dawn Ostroff, president of Entertainment of the CW, was pleased with all three shows’ performances. She said, “By giving our two freshman series and proven performer ‘One Tree Hill’ full orders, we’ll be able to continue our success and momentum throughout the rest of the season.”
The first-year drama, Hellcats, starring Aly Michalka and Ashley Tisdale, has a total of 2.5 million viewers. The other freshman show, Nikita, starring Shane West and breakout star Maggie Q, has a total of 3.6 million viewers, which has become the second most-watched show on the CW. Nikita was paired with the network’s most watched series, The Vampire Diaries.
All CW shows now have a full season order except for Life Unexpected, which most likely means that the show will be canceled soon.
