Da Fireman arrested on drug charges

Rapper Lil' Wayne was arrested in Atlanta on drug possession charges, according to MTV News.

Lil' Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter, had several drugs in his hotel room, according to MTV News. He was released on $11,000 bond.

A hotel employee entered Carter's room to inspect a security problem when he noticed something..."a gallon bag of marijuana," he also said he smelt the drug. The hotel manager was called to the room and smelt the drug when Carter told them to leave. Police arrived moments later and arrested the singer.

When police entered the room they found less than an ounce, not the "gallon bag" and several unlabeled prescription drug bottles, according to MTV News.

Lil' Wayne's most recent album, "Tha Carter II" debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard charts earlier this year.
