Dancing judges make the viewers choose the winner
The phenomenon that is "Dancing With The Stars" concludes its third season when the winner is announced at 8 p.m. tonight, Due to the three judges giving each couple multiple perfect scores, Mario Lopez and his professional partner Karina Smirnoff and Emmitt Smith and his professional partner Cheryl Burke are deadlocked. So it seems it will come down to the viewers' choice as to who will reign victorious.
According to an http://www.msnbc.com article, "For 'Dancing,' much of the controversy has surrounded the judging. This is a show that got off to a fairly scandalous first season when scantily dressed upstart Kelly Monaco knocked off ultra-suave favorite John O'Hurley, in part because she received some eyebrow-raising high scores on the last night of the competition."
The official message board for the show on http://www.abc.go.com, allows fans of the show to expound on their thoughts as well as their complaints, which have been problems with getting through on the toll-free number for either Lopez and Smirnoff or Smith and Burke as well as the judges "expert" analysis of each dance. The judges scores have caused many fans to spout conspiracy theories about bias for certain couples. The http://www.msnbc.com article goes on to say, "All the blame for any bad result gets dumped on the stupid fans next door, rather than at the feet of the show's own judges, whose results are often difficult to understand except as suspense-building plot devices."
Regardless of the outcome, there is sure to be plenty of drama when the winner is announced tonight at 8 p.m. on the "Dancing With The Stars" results show.
