Daniel Craig to star in Morgan Creek thriller
The current James Bond, Daniel Craig, has inked a deal to star in the Morgan Creek Productions thriller, entitled "Dream House."
According to an article on Variety.com, "The film which starts shooting January 25, will be directed by Jim Sheridan. Craig plays a New York publishing exec who relocates his family to a small New England town only to learn that their new home was the scene of a vicious murder."
"Dream House" is the first movie from Morgan Creek since Rick Nicita took over and its first production start in three years.
The Variety.com article goes on to say, "Nicita, a longtime CAA topper, became co-chairman of Morgan Creek one year ago, sharing that title with James G. Robinson. Morgan Creek fully finances its films, which are distributed through Universal."
Currently, Craig is about to begin starring in a Broadway play, entitled "A Steady Rain," by Keith Huff. Hugh Jackman is Craig's co-star.
David Loucka wrote "Dream House" and James G. Robinson along with David Robinson, Daniel Bobker and Ehren Krueger will be producing the film.
As for Sheridan, he has been nominated for six Oscars including Best Directing for the 1993 biodrama, "In the Name of the Father," which starred Daniel Day-Lewis and Emma Thompson, as well as for Best Writing (original screenplay) in 2003 for the romantic drama, "In America."
