Daniel Radcliffe Taken More Seriously
Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe is happy that he chose to take part in the play, Equus, as he feels it has given him more respect among his peers in the acting world, WENN reports.
Radcliffe starred in the 2007 London production of the play and will soon take it to Broadway. The play, which required Radcliffe to perform a nude scene, has given the actor more confidence and he feels getting into theater was wise.
"Actors see me differently now," the 19-year-old Londoner reflects. "They think I'm taken more seriously now."
And while it may just be a stereotype, Radcliffe is willing to play into it to get more respect as a thespian. "The perception is that theatre people are taken seriously," he says.
Radcliffe is currently in post-production on Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, due out in November.
