David Arquette, Courteney Cox just friends

It's nice to see former Hollywood couples stay amicable, especially when they have kids.

Us Weekly reported despite Cox's public shows of support on Dancing with the Stars, Arquette and Cox are just friends.

"We're pretty much in the friend zone," Arquette said after Monday's taping of DWTS.

"Though we love each other and we love to laugh and have a great time, it's difficult."

The Scream star is currently dating Joe Francis's ex-wife, Christina McLarty,, and he says his daughter knows her parents probably won't get back together any time soon.

Access Hollywood reported Arquette said, "Kids know everything, they know a lot. They feel it, they sense it. I was really honest with her throughout the whole experience. There's not much we don't communicate about."

And McLarty isn't stealing any Arquette love from 7-year-old Coco. On Monday's episode of DWTS, Arquette dedicated his "O-o-h Child" rhumba to daddy's little girl.

"The voice in the song is me speaking to my daughter....Life is about love and not giving into fear so to dance the dance of love is the perfect way to tell this story," he said.
