David Blaine Frees Himself from Gyroscope
Illusionist spent two days in contraption above New York City.
Illusionist David Blaine has freed himself from the gyroscope he was in, that was suspended in Times Square.
He spent two days inside of the machine before removing the shackles from his feet and hands and falling 40 feet, according to the BBC. He then limped into a New York Taxi cab.
"It's actually harder than I thought it would be," he said as he removed the shackles from around his waist, the BBC reported.
The shackles were added after Blaine spent two days inside of the gyroscope. He then had 16 hours to free himself.
As a reward for escaping the gyroscope, Blaine will now lead 1,000 children, chosen by the Salvation Army, on a Target stores shopping spree.
