David Carradine Death Not Suicide?
Since the death of David Carradine, on June 4, the Carradine family has hired a medical examiner to find the exact cause of death. The 72-year-old kung fu star was found hanging naked in the closet in his hotel room in Bangkok. The family followed up with the Thai investigation when the actor was found with a rope tied around his neck. The medical examiner hired was Dr. Michael Barden, a forensic pathologist, who has done an independent autopsy that revealed the cause of death was asphyxiation. Reuters reported that Dr. Barden admits the actor's death was from asphyxiation but he did not commit suicide.
"The cause of death was asphyxiation, an inability to breather. Now why that happened is still what we're working on. He didn't die of natural causes, and he didn't die of suicidal causes from the nature of the ligatures around the body, so that leaves some kind of accidental death," said Dr. Barden.
