David Hasselhoff and Welsh model Hayley Roberts not engaged despite Twitter teasers

David Hasselhoff was thought to have popped the question to Welsh model Hayley Roberts after a Twitpic was posted of the couple in Australia at the Sydney harbour bridge that depicted the former Baywatch star down on one knee.

Along with the picture, Hasselhoff tweeted,"Tried it again on top of the Sydney harbour bridge!"

The 32-year-old Roberts then replied with a tweet of her own that read, ":)))))) xxxxxxxxxxxx.”

E! Online reports that Hasselhoff also teased fans by posting another picture of the couple kissing with the caption, "What do you think she said!?!?!"

So did they get engaged? Not so fast.

Hasselhoff told People "The truth is I'm having a fantastic time with this lovely lady but at this time we have no plans to marry," adding, "But who knows? As they say in Wales, "Cymru Am Byth!" or Wales forever!"

Hasselhoff, 59, met Roberts last year at auditions for Britain’s Got Talent, when she asked for his autograph.

He has been married twice before, first to soap actress Catherine Hickland from 1984-1989 and later to Pamela Bach, with whom he has Taylor Ann, 21, and Hayley Amber, 19. He and Bach called it quits in 2006 after being married since 1989.
