DEA Will Probe Death of Heath Ledger
The federal government, TheCelebrityCafe.com has learned, will probe the death of Heath Ledger.
At this point, the Drug Enforcement Administration is looking into how Ledger acquired multiple prescription drugs that, famously, led to his accidental overdose, TVGuide.com reports.
The DEA has also requested copies of Ledger's autopsy in addition to the original police report from the crime scene, Ledger's SoHo apartment.
This news comes a day after the Office of the New York City medical examiner stated that Ledger's death was "the result of acute intoxication by the combined effects of oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam and doxylamine," and said that Ledger's death was ruled an "accident resulting from the abuse of prescription medications."
