Deal or No Deal Heading Around the World

The popular U.S. game show will travel to three foreign countries for May sweeps.

With the extremely highly rated "Million Dollar Mission" run of Deal or No Deal episodes coming to an end, NBC has found another way to hold the interest of the highly successful game show -- a tour around the world.

For May sweeps, Deal will visit local versions of the show in Estonia, the Philippines and South Africa, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Host Howie Mandel and contestants from the U.S. will play the game by the foreign set of rules, and will also use local Deal girls. It must also be noted that 40 versions of the game are produced around the world.

"We're constantly trying to come up with new ideas to keep the show fresh, to tweak and make the gameplay different," executive producer Scott St. John said.

The plan comes after 19 "Million Dollar Mission" episodes reenergized the show's ratings. One must wonder whether or not the game show in a foreign country will hold the same suspense (half of Monday night's cases had one million dollars in them) throughout the show?
