The suspected body of 82-year-old Yvette Vickers was found Tuesday. The discovery happened after a concerned neighbor called police, claiming the former actress had not been seen for a while. Police then found a decomposing body inside Vickers's Beverly Hills home. Vickers was a former Playboy playmate and appeared in films such as Attack of the 50-foot Woman and Attack of the Giant Leeches.

According to L.A. Times, police reported the state of Vickers’s body suggested that she may have been deceased for almost a year. The actress’s neighbors claimed they had not seen her since summer of last year.

Susan Savage, a neighbor, noticed the actress’s mailbox was filled with neglected letters. Savage was concerned and decided to look around the property. She ultimately discovered a body inside the Vickers's home.

"She kept to herself, had friends and seemed like a very independent spirit," Savage said. "To the end, she still got cards and letters from all over the world requesting photos."

The Associated Press reports that it could take up to a week to positively identify the body. At this time, authorities do not suspect any foul play.
