Dennis Quaid as General Hawk in G.I. Joe Film

According to Access Hollywood, Dennis Quaid will star in the new "G.I. Joe" film as the character General Hawk.

Quaid described his character as "a cross between General Patton and Hugh Hefner" and mentioned the James Bond movies in reference to the mood of the film.

Action movie lovers should not be disappointed with this film as it features plenty of classic "G.I. Joe" military action with a little sex appeal.

Sienna Miller will take the leading female role in the film. Her extravagant costume, said to look like a liquid armor suit, adds to the seductive element of the new movie.

Quaid has an additional film coming out entitled "Smart People" which is set to be released later this year.

Recently, the actor has been in the public spotlight for speaking up about the lack of sufficient training in medical facilities which leads to medical mistakes. Quaid and his wife almost lost their newborn twins due to medical staff overdosing the babies with a blood thinner medication.
